I've had technical problems with my blog, which, involved nothing being saved and, having to keep on starting again, nevertheless, here I am part II of Paris
After taking in the beauty of Paris, I headed to the museum to see the Balenciaga L'Oeuvre au Noir exhibition, which was the main reason why I wanted to go to Paris in the first place.
Balenciaga isn't one of my favourite designers, but, I do love his earlier work, especially the l'oeuvre exhibition. The purpose of the exhibition is to only focus one black, including all of his toiles which were also in black.
Why have an all black exhibition? Black isn't only sophiciated but, black allows us to focus on shape, volume and construction without being distracted by colour, although throughout the exhibition a hint of pink was showcased in some of Balenciaga's work. Nothing but elegance was showcased in this exhibition such beautiful craftsmenship and texture of layering, most importantly, it was great to take as many photos and videos without a big sign reading 'pas de photographie'.
